Tonight we were able to attend our city's Festival of Lights. Though this is our 3rd winter living here, for some reason we'd never even heard about the event before. Now that we have Truman, however, other parents and coworkers are more apt to inform us homebodies of the town happenings - definitely a good thing! Anyway, the Festival of Lights is a "holiday street festival" that included tons of live music, a community sing along, and the tree lighting. It was a bit chilly tonight (about 40 degrees) so we were a little nervous about Truman getting too cold, but we bundled him up and braved the elements, and we were so glad we did! The Festival was so much fun! There was all sorts of music, including African drumming, a neat a cappella group, blue grass bands, and more! As we've mentioned before, Truman absolutely loves music and the outdoors, so putting them together was a big hit with our boy :-) The tree lighting was really neat, too.
By the time we got home, Sweet T was fast asleep so unfortunately he missed us lighting the menorah tonight - but we still got a picture of him with the candles on the 3rd night of Hannukah!
