Truman's New Chair

We've been working a lot with Truman regarding the idea of set "activity" time. For those of you who know our sweet boy, you understand that he's an active boy - a very active boy. His activity level combined with some distractability often results in him moving from one thing to the next before truly finishing the first activity he started with. In order to help with this, a few months ago we started "blanket time", wherein whenever we took out his elephant blanket Truman learned that if he sat on the blanket he could play with certain toys that we keep separate for blanket time. He was doing really great with this, until about a week ago when he started immediately trying to take the presented toys to different areas of the house. One of his therapists thought that now that he's getting bigger, he might prefer a chair to the blanket. Therefore, this weekend we went out and bought him a small fold up chair that he can use with our coffee table. While Truman uses a little chair at daycare during mealtime, this one is a bit taller and he seemed to find it funny. He enjoyed sitting in it, crawling on it, and just lounging. Next step involves working with him to realize it's his "activity chair" :-)

I love this lounging one. He looks so "zen."
