First Doctor's Appointment

So today was Truman's first pediatrician visit. We drove about an hour and a half outside our city so we could have our first doctor's appt in the US with the same doctor who reviewed Truman's file for us in May (he specializes in "international adoption medicine"). Overall, things went really well! Truman is now up to 17lbs12oz, which puts him at about the 50th percentile for weight, and he's 26 inches long, which is just above the 50th percentile for height. Considering that before we took custody of him he was at the 1st percentile for both weight and height, we don't think that's half bad! The doctor was very impressed by Truman's growth and his overall "wellness". Unfortunately, today Truman had to have a bunch of bloodwork done :-( I think it may have been more traumatic for mommy than it was for Truman. As soon as they were done, Truman returned to his smiley state and was laughing! Here's a picture of his battle wounds -as you can see, he recovered well :-)

Then our very tired boy wanted to play a quick game of peek-a-boo before bed (and yes, that's Oskar growling in the background trying to get Alison to play with him!):
