We thought we'd dedicate a blog post to the budding relationship between Truman and our dog, Oskar. For those of you who have met Oskar, you know that he is a rambunctious little fellow who loves to play and bark. Well, as soon as he met Truman, Oskar decided that his sole purpose in life would be to get our little boy to play with him! This has involved much jumping on and dropping of toys on Truman. Here are some pictures of the first time they met. As you can see, Oskar immediately came over to inspect our son:
And then decided it was time to get a closer look:
Here's Alison having to holding Oskar back after he began dropping toys onto Truman's head:
Well, as you can imagine, we were both a little bit nervous about how Truman would feel about Oskar. Truman was already going through a tough transition so we didn't want him to feel overwhelmed by waking up to a crazy little dog jumping all over him! For the next few days, we tried to keep Oskar calm around Truman (not an easy task!) and then slowly Truman became more interested in his puppy. Here's Truman giving Oskar a tentative looking over:
Very quickly, Truman decided that Oskar was a good playmate who had fun toys, and decided that they should start sharing!
Now, Oskar has become one of Truman's favorite things to look at. Oftentimes Truman will just sit and watch Oskar intently, and then will break out laughing at the funny puppy! Truman's also become more interactive with Oskar, and will often reach out to pet him:
We've very grateful that our two boys are getting along so well!
