This week, our little family of 3 was lucky enough to enjoy a few days at the beach. Monday morning we drove down to Carolina Beach (we always forget how close we are to the ocean - it only took us 3 hours!) where we had rented a small condo with an ocean view. It was absolutely wonderful! We actually stayed at this same condo last year. One of the things we love about it is that the owner allows pets, so we can bring Oskar with us. Last year on our trip to Carolina Beach we talked a lot about how fun it would be to have a child with us someday, but we never imagined that our dreams would come true so soon! We took hundreds of pictures (literally) so I'm going to break the blogposts up into each day (though don't worry, I won't post ALL of the pics!). The first day was all about introducing Truman to the sand. Here are Mommy and Truman, excited to go see the beach!
Here is a short video of him feeling it on his toes for the first time ever! As you'll see, he really liked it!
His first experience with the ocean water wasn't quite as successful - I think it was a little cold for him! As soon as it touched his toes he wanted Mommy to get him out of there :-)
Shortly after feeling the water, Truman feel asleep and took a nice long nap in his stroller while Mommy played in the ocean and Daddy read.
When he woke up, Truman felt like playing on the beach with Daddy. Here are some pics of him examining the sand.
